FAQ

I cannot enable 3 or more monitors on multiple GeForce graphics cards.

Last Update: 2010/05/17

If you cannot enable three (3) or more displays on multiple GeForce graphics cards, please check the following:

  1. If you have SLI enabled between both cards, you MUST disable SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel.
  2. If you have PhysX enabled on any of the graphics cards, you MUST disable PhysX in the Nvidia Control Panel.
  3. When running more than 3 displays, use the Windows Display settings to configure, not the Nvidia Control Panel.
  4. Make sure you are only using offically supported connections off of each card (straight DVI, straight VGA, straight HDMI, or using included DVI-VGA or DVI-HDMI adapters).
  5. Make sure you have an adequate power supply to accommodate all of your graphics cards.
  6. Make sure you are only using all Nvidia-based graphics cards.
  7. Make sure you are not using two (2) PCI graphics cards.  You can only use multiple PCI-Express graphics cards, or a combination of one or multiple PCI-Express graphics cards, and a single PCI graphics card.
  8. If you have the 6200, 8400, and/or 9400 PCI series graphics cards:  You cannot connect a VGA and S-Video/component display at the same time.  You can only run a DVI and S-Video, or a DVI and VGA.
